Ocean wave sounds
Waves are the most rhythmic sound in the library. A swell arrives every few seconds, close to the pace of a relaxed breath, which is why ocean recordings are the default choice for meditation and for anyone who finds constant noise too flat to settle into.
That rhythm is also what makes waves good for falling asleep. Each wave rises and falls on its own, so there is always something happening, but nothing ever demands a response — the pattern is predictable enough that your brain stops tracking it within a few minutes.
This recording sits mid-distance from the break: enough body in the wash to feel like real water, without the sharp gravel-and-spray detail that keeps some people alert. It loops without a seam, so the sequence of swells never restarts audibly.
Add soft wind and distant birds for an open coastline, or drop the wind and let the waves carry a session on their own. In the mixer you can set the level so the swell is present without dominating everything above it.
